Meet Mr. Donandre “Dre” Orr

From the Fire — A Leader Was Formed

Mr. Donandre “Dre” Orr is more than a behavior specialist — he’s a mentor, coach, educator, and advocate who lives out the very mission he now teaches. As a former troubled youth who was nearly labeled a lost cause, Dre understands the power of someone believing in you. That “someone” for him was his uncle and a few educators who stepped in, saw his potential, and redirected his path.

Today, Dre holds

A Bachelor of Science in Education (University of Florida)

A Master’s in Special Education (Grand Canyon University)

Doctoral studies in Educational Leadership (Grand Canyon University, in progress)

In his current role as Dean of Students at DeRenne Middle School in Savannah, GA, Dre oversees the behavioral needs of more than 500 students and mentors countless youth with emotional and disciplinary challenges.
